Information we process
- Account and enquiry information supplied directly by customers and website visitors.
- Professional-profile information such as name, role, employer, work history, skills, experience, location and education, where available.
- Personal email address, its verification status and verification date, where available.
- Service, security and audit information generated when an approved customer uses our systems.
Information we do not seek
The service is intended for professional and recruitment-related information. We do not ask customers to submit Aadhaar numbers, passwords, financial account information, health information, biometric data, precise location, religious beliefs, caste, sexual orientation or other sensitive personal data. Customers must not upload or use sensitive data through the service.
Data stewardship
We use documented controls to evaluate permitted commercial use, record quality and customer access. We do not knowingly use unlawfully obtained data.
We aim to retain collection-date and verification information where available so records can be reviewed and corrected.
Why we use information
- Provide approved people-search, enrichment, analytics and data-delivery services.
- Verify, normalize, deduplicate, update and secure professional records.
- Prevent misuse, enforce customer restrictions and maintain audit logs.
- Respond to privacy requests and meet applicable legal obligations.
Our role
For the professional-data layer that ProspectBharat assembles and makes available, ProspectBharat determines the purposes and safeguards for processing. When a customer submits its own search instructions, job descriptions or authorized data for processing, the respective responsibilities will be defined in the customer agreement and any applicable data-processing terms.
How information is disclosed
Approved business customers may receive scoped fields for a documented recruitment-related purpose under contract. Service providers may process limited information to host, secure, verify or operate the service. We may disclose information when legally required.
Customers may not publish unrestricted copies, use the data for unlawful discrimination, conduct indiscriminate outreach, or resell raw records without written authorization.
Retention and security
We retain information only while needed for the stated purpose, contractual commitments, security, suppression and legal requirements. Access controls, scoped exports and audit records are used to reduce unauthorized access. No security system can guarantee absolute protection.
Website and usage information
Our website and service may generate basic technical records such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, request time, security events and API activity. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service. Optional analytics or marketing technologies, if introduced, will be described and controlled as required.
International processing
Service providers may process information in locations outside the individual’s state or country. Where cross-border processing occurs, we will use contractual, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the applicable requirements and the processing risk.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion or suppression, object to certain processing, or opt out of sale or sharing where applicable. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity and locate the correct record.
A suppression record may be retained after deletion so the information is not reintroduced. Requests can be submitted through our Privacy Request page without purchasing a service.
Children
ProspectBharat is a business service and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly build profiles for children or knowingly allow customers to use the service to target children. If you believe a child’s information is present, submit a deletion request immediately.
No penalty for exercising rights
We will not deny a service to an individual or treat an individual unfairly merely because they submitted a good-faith privacy request. A request may be limited or declined only where verification fails or an applicable exception permits it, and we will explain the outcome where required.
Updates and contact
